Butterfly Valve

Butterfly valves are generally used as isolation valves installed for maintenance and repair in the system. They are operated as on-off valves. Their position is maintained for a long time and can be changed during maintenance or failure to allow the desired operation. There are many types according to the place of use.

Double Flanged Butterfly Valve

Long-lasting and practical products preferred at every stage of infrastructure lines. Even if not used for a long time, they are suitable for the required function when needed. Commonly used in potable water, wastewater, and industrial facilities where isolation is required. Recommended for large diameter lines, ideal for DN200-4000.

Two common types:

• BSDFBV-1: More commonly used, especially for large diameters.
• BSDFBV-2: Preferred for DN100-800 due to lower price and easy installation.

Lug/Wafer Butterfly Valve

Preferred in industrial and treatment plants where piping is dense and process flow can be operated alternately. These are price-performance products, often chosen for their easy installation and lightness in facilities requiring alternative valve use. Used as on-off valves, recommended for small diameter lines, ideal for DN40-400.

Two common types:

• BSWBV-1: Concentric Wafer Butterfly Valve
• BSLBV-1: Concentric Lug Butterfly Valve

Lug type is mounted with bolts from both sides, suitable for end-of-line use and allows the line behind to be removed during maintenance. Wafer type is clamped between two flanges and requires a blind flange for end-of-line use; cannot isolate flow in front or behind when removed.
